Unable to send mail from Outlook for a few days?

I have been using Outlook 2003 to send and receive Yahoo mail quite happily for a number of months but in the last few days I have been unable to send it. I have tried deleting the account in Outlook and setting it back up again as per the instructions on the Yahoo Mail help system, and have tried changing the port number to 587 but nothing seems to work. Why has this suddenly stopped working and how do I get it to work again?Unable to send mail from Outlook for a few days?
Does it come up asking you to confirm your username and password. If so look at my answer below

If you had Outlook working before and you have a Yahoo.co.uk account, try the following.

Log into your yahoo account via web-mail.

Look for mail options then pop and forwarding.

Were it says Pop %26amp; Web access to the left click button then click save at bottom.

You should get the following message.

POP3 Setup Successful

You can now access Yahoo! Mail through the web or any email program using POP3.

Close and you should then be able to use Outlook.

Yahoo.co.uk account users do not need to sign up for Yahoo Mail Plus to get Pop 3 but need to sign up for it in their Yahoo accounts.Unable to send mail from Outlook for a few days?
We have been having the same problem, although it is working again now.

Our problem was due to the flooding in Sheffield. Our internet server is based there and their office flooded. This could be your problem?
