Assuming you have windows XP

1. go to your network connections

2. Right click on the connection you want to set the static IP on and go to 'properties'

3. A new window pops up, highlight 'Internet Protocol (TCP/IP). You may need to scroll down

4. Click the Properties button

5. Choose %26quot;use the following IP address%26quot; and then enter in all the info. You can get all this info but going back to step 1, double-clicking on the connection and going to the Support tab. There you can grab your subnet mask and DNS.How do i make my laptop connect to our router with the same ip everytime i turn it on? so i can port forward?
