Ip address keeps changing with router?

I have a PS3, and two computer connected to one router, a LINKSYS BEFSR41 wired router.

As of this moment, my ip address on this computer ends in a .102, my PS3's ends in a .100, and the other computer ends in .101

A few days ago, the ip addresses were switched around, and my PS3's ip address ended in .102

Is there a reason the ip addresses keep randomly switching their values. This has been happening ever since i started using this router, and I am not really sure how tof ix this. This is annoying because when i got o open ports, it asks me which ip address i want to open ports for, so everytime time the ip address changes, i have to go back into my router and keep changing the ports around.

Is there anyway to keep each of the ip addresses constant, it seems like they change everyday for no reason whatsoever. I never disconnect the wires from the router or form the computers or from my PS3. I have no idea why they are changing around.Ip address keeps changing with router?
To open port (port forwarding), you HAVE to use a static IP, just for the very reason you are seeing - DHCP can change your IP without warning - it is dynamic!

Set your PS3 to a static IP, outside the DHCP pool range. I would suggest, based on your IP's above, to use 192.168.x.2, or whatever is not in use by others. Then your port forwarding will always work because your LAN IP will never change....Ip address keeps changing with router?
you need to make your ip address static, just google that.

ill try to explain it here as well. go into your network connections and right click on the connection you are using. click on properties. now go into command propmt and type %26quot;ipconfig /all%26quot; then go back to the other window (the properties one) go down to ipv4, copy the data across and save it.

you need to do this for you ps3 as well, just look for the network settings.Ip address keeps changing with router?
Well, if you don't leave all of the devices on all of the time, then the first one to access the network makes the first DHCP request and then gets the first assignment.

If that doesn't apply, then I would say one of the devices has high latency on the network. You might need a new router.

Finally, see if - in the admin control panel of the router - if you can reserve IPs for specific devices.Ip address keeps changing with router?
Yeah, DHCP.

Comes by default on practically every home network.

Normal operation.

You can statically assign your IP's by specifically entering the information in your connection settings (or network adapter properties under IPv4 in Windows).

Make sure you don't statically assign an address that's within your DHCP range or you might run into potential problems.
