How to seed with urtorrent?

it seems people are not able to seed off my computer.

The problem at first was %26quot;a firewall router is limiting your network traffic %26quot;

So I went and made a static ip address and then added a port to my router. It works for a second then stops. If I change the port, it will work for a couple of minutes and then not work anymore. I wonder if it works at first, but then stops because some kind of firewall detects and blocks it?

Now it says %26quot;No incoming connections%26quot;How to seed with urtorrent?
The poser of this question wants to seed because that is the neighborly thing to do! He/she isn't selfish like some people. Besides, using 80% of the upload capacity to share does NOT reduce your download speed since the internet is full duplex.

You don't need a static IP, but you do need to have ports forwarded in order for other clients to connct to your client. Be sure the port you are forwarding in the modem is the same as the port specified in utorrent under Connection, and that the IP address on your computer is the one to which the port is being forwarded by the modem. Some modems can do a %26quot;dynamic%26quot; forward so the last may not apply to you.

Good luck, and thanks for sharing.How to seed with urtorrent?
why would you want to seed? It just eliminates your bandwidth.
