How do I get my Logitech QuickCam 5000 to work with Yahoo Messenger?

I have a Logitech QuickCam Pro 5000 that will not work with Yahoo Messenger. The errors I am receiving are “the webcam does not support the required image size and sorry no webcam was found on your system.” I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling, changing the registry, changing the version of Yahoo Messenger, updating the drivers, changing USB ports. I have tried everything and the webcam will not work with Yahoo Messenger; but I can use it with MSN Messenger. My operating system is Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition. Well i use a logitech web cam with xp and it works great.So i guess it's the way you have set it up.Have you gone in every area and set all the settings? Broadcasting,max speed range,always use small picture ,only use large when needed.Check in webcam settings in messenger,preferences,web cam settings.I had to go round my firewall to stop it from freezing up.Suggestion and i mean i use it too.Enter messenger,click on help,then messenger help.It give loads of info on the cam and useful to.It will tell you word for word what is wrong.Check it out.How do I get my Logitech QuickCam 5000 to work with Yahoo Messenger?
You know I had the problem with Logitech fusion. It worked at first than stopped working. Seems that a codec driver (I forgot which company), was being updated cuz logitech was using another companys codec driver. They were changing to the windows codec driver. I found out also that the company was now charging $30 to update to their driver and is probably why Logitech switched to the free windows codec driver. Call logitech up and ask them. My fusion works now. If you can buy another cam, buy the logitech cam, that has the one that you can project pictures of yourself on them. If you can still return the cam and get the money back on you cam if it is still possible. If you can or decide to get another cam, remember only a few logitech cams have this ability to project pics on the cam. i have that exact same camera and mine works fine...try and see if there has been an updated version of the software put out,go to the logitech site and check
