How do I add a port for a torrent in Windows Firewall?

I wan to speed up my torrent client by opening up a port for it to use. Let's say the port is xyz1. How do I, with XP Windows Firewall change the port. When I press %26quot;edit program%26quot; in the exceptions tab, it doesn't let me edit the port number. How do I do this? How do I add a port for a torrent in Windows Firewall?
Go to control panel %26gt; security center %26gt; windows firewall

Click on the exceptions tab and click the add program button. Add your torrent client and click OK. Your client will now not be blocked on any ports.

FYI ports do not have letters in them only numbers
